As innovators and leaders in the events industry, and a company passionate about the development and progression of our talented team, we’re thrilled to announce that Camm & Hooper is the Principal Venue Partner for Elevate season 6.
Created to change the events industry for the better by Max Fellows and Melissa Noakes, Elevate aims to support, develop and nurture the talent at all levels in our industry through free mentoring, education and networking programmes.
Now in its sixth year, Elevate has successfully supported over 1,200 people in our great industry, elevating their careers and giving them the tools they need to progress and thrive.
As part of the programme, Elevate host monthly networking events, and that’s where we come in, hosting these important meet ups at Tanner Warehouse, our newly-converted, retro event space, based in the heart of Bermondsey. Perfect for events of any type, Tanner Warehouse will act as the base for Elevate this season, bringing together mentors and mentees on a regular basis and allowing them to network in an informal environment.
“We’re so excited to be part of the sixth season of Elevate” says Derick Martin the CEO of Camm & Hooper. “Their mission to inspire and educate the events industry aligns with our brand vision to innovate the sector and highlights our commitment to staff training and progression, ensuring Camm & Hooper lead the way when it comes to organising, hosting and managing outstanding events. The newly refurbished Tanner Warehouse is the perfect base for Elevate and the ideal venue for the monthly networking events, bringing together mentors and mentees in a relaxed environment where they can connect, learn and grow”.
The first networking event, kicking off season 6 of Elevate took place on Wednesday 30th March with mentors and mentees coming together for the first time and learning more about how Elevate can enhance careers and maximise potential. Following speeches from the Elevate team and this year’s partners, including us, Castlebell, Owl Live, Event Decision, Event Cycle, and the Virtual Event Directory, this year’s participants had the chance to network and get to know each other, immersing themselves in the Elevate programme and all the wonderful things it offers professionals in the events industry.
“This will be my third season as a mentor with Elevate and I have had the privilege to meet some amazing events industry talent” says event specialist Susan Morrisey. “The Elevate programme has a strong structure, provides excellent training for mentors and mentees and puts on a range of outstanding and free online education sessions delivered by industry leaders. This year is the first year Elevate has had sponsors and I can already see the support of companies such as Camm & Hooper has put the programme on a different footing, including a monthly opportunity to network in real life at Tanner Warehouse in Bermondsey Street, which is a great way to share ideas and opportunities.”
“When we set up this programme six years ago we had an ambition, but no idea how much impact we could really have” continues Max Fellows, Co-Founder of Elevate. “Now with over 1,200 people having benefited from the Elevate experience, which is changing lives careers and our industry for the better, it is only getting bigger and better which is in part thanks to Camm & Hooper, who are supporting Elevate as our Principal Venue Partner. Their brilliant venue, Tanner Warehouse will be the home of Elevate for Season 6 and welcomes elevators past and present.”
