My Camm & Hooper experience started whilst I was Restaurant Manager at Delfina that operated on the site where Tanner & Co now sits. When the sale of the business was in process we were offered the journey over to Camm & Hooper and the prospect of Claire’s business plan and designs for the Bermondsey Street venue were too exciting to pass up. Before long I jumped on board full time in the capacity of Assistant General Manager at Tanner & Co.
The expansion plan and my ambition to be part of it has now lead me to my new role of General Manager at the newest Camm & Hooper venue Six Storeys on Soho.
‘What do we perceive as art?’ that’s the question on Pat’s mind when he isn’t running around Banking Hall, perfecting every last detail of an event.
Pat’s career as an artist started as soon as he picked up a crayon as a tot. With oodles of natural talent, Pat has an unprecedented skill in brown paper analysis illustration and the creative vision to capture the unseen beauty of our surroundings through photography and on canvas. Pat certainly has a few more strings to his bow than his modest character would ever let on.
I started at Camm and Hooper as a waitress at Tanner and Co. I joined to save up extra pennies to go travelling. On my return, 10 months later, I found myself back at Tanner and Co, facilitating the expensive move back to London.
The team that I had been part of, both times, was something more akin to a family than a group of colleagues, and somewhere along the line, my superiors had ceased to just be my bosses and had become my mentors. I was lucky enough that fate was to resolve the dilemma I found myself in; a supervisor post at the venue was coming up. I then progressed to Assistant General Manager.
After a coffee with Managing Director Claire Lawson, I became the guinea pig for the Graduate Scheme offered by Camm and Hooper. I was unsure about which area of the business I would ultimately be aiming for so this was a perfect way in to the industry. After a hectic but enjoyable 4 months as Restaurant Supervisor, I moved across to the Sales team, and the rest as they say....'
Jack has progressed rapidly from supervising floor staff in Tanner & Co to making the move into event sales. Jack's personality, drive and desire to succeed resulted in incredible sales for the Tanner Warehouse almost immediately. He helped the venue surpass all its targets. He has since progressed further to selling events at our largest event space Banking Hall.
This cool, calm and collected individual is a stickler for good grammar, spelling and punctuation which is just as well since she manages the social media strategy for the company.
With a background in acting and teaching and an impressive repertoire to her name, she's not adverse to treading the wooden floor boards at Tanner, role playing customer service experiences with the team. She's a chameleon, exquisite when she's dressed up sipping champagne and just as happy and relaxed when she's casual, downing a pint of craft beer with the sociable Camm & Hooper team.
I started at Camm and Hooper as a restaurant supervisor at Tanner and Co. With the events operations manager leaving to go on Maternity leave, an opportunity arose.
With my events degree, it made sense for me to pursue the role. I entered a busy Christmas hosting a great variety of clients- from Instagram and the BBC to Shell and The Sun.
Camm and Hooper love to keep things fresh and keep you on your toes so in the new year I was moved to the newly opened Victorian Bath House where we launched our exclusive By Appointment Only. Great to be a part of launching something from scratch with such a fab team.
By September the same year I was appointed Senior Ops manager where my role took me to the flagship to work with the GM Attila. I was able to further hone my craft in a more formal environment and on a larger scale.
