Banking Hall, an elegant luxury wedding venue that was once the headquarters of the renowned Lloyd’s Bank until 2002, has been beautifully transformed into an exceptional event space in the heart of central London. This remarkable venue still preserves the original features, which lend it historical grandeur, character, and charm, making it the perfect backdrop for stylish and sophisticated wedding ceremonies and receptions.

The venue boasts two exclusive rooms, providing ample space to host a civil ceremony, celebrate your wedding, or renew your vows. The grand Main Hall, complete with a built-in stage and dance floor, exudes a regal air and provides an ideal setting for an opulent banquet. Alternatively, couples can opt for the more intimate Counting Room, which is located on the mezzanine level, overlooking the Bank of England. The stunning brass-topped bar makes this space the ideal spot to chill and enjoy a few drinks after your wedding breakfast.

HISTORY
Grade II listed, Art Deco former bank
Banking Hall is now an exclusive use venue from one of London’s most established events teams, Camm & Hooper. Built in the 1930s, Banking Hall existed for many years as the busy headquarters of Lloyd’s Bank. A unique Art Deco landmark in the heart of the City, it overlooks the Bank of England and is one of the most enviable, unusual venues for hire in London. After becoming part of the Camm & Hooper collection, we instructed the renowned Russell Sage studios to refurbish the space, and incorporate the latest events technology whilst maintaining its glorious grandeur. We opened the doors to Banking Hall in 2014, and since then have welcomed corporate dinners, receptions and awards ceremonies, as well as fashion, film and music events and private parties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you allow ceremonies in the venue and if so is there a ceremony fee?
Yes, your civil ceremony must be booked through Islington Council, we can put you in touch if required. The charge to turn the room around in between ceremony and reception is £1200 plus VAT.
Do we have to use your caterers?
All catering is done internally through our chefs, however if you require external catering for cultural or religious reasons we can offer dry hire – costings vary throughout the year so please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Do you charge corkage?
Yes, price available upon request.
Do you provide a wedding coordinator on the day?
You will be allocated a dedicated wedding curator. They will arrange planning meetings and menu tastings with you in the lead up to the big day. During these meetings you will meet the operations team at the venue, and they will run your event on the day.
What is the capacity for the building?
We can accommodate the following capacities:
700 guests for a standing reception.
280 guests for a seated dinner.
Please bear in mind that these capacities may vary depending on additional AV and Production you may require.

All elements of our experiences are customisable but please note that any changes may result in a price increase.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Unfortunately we don’t have any parking available at the venue. Speak to a member of our team to find out about car parks nearby.
Do you hold more than one event at the same time?
No. Banking Hall is always hired exclusively so you can use the spaces as you wish without the concern of another event running alongside yours.
